Nutrition Labels Made for You

November 9, 2011

Do you have a great food product ready for market but need a Nutrition Facts label?  Have you tried the do-it-yourself links on the web and found it wasn’t as easy as the link promised?  Were the instructions (“…make the third line row thick…”) totally confusing?

Or does your food product have an ingredient the consumer nutrition analysis software doesn’t have?

Now what?  Resign yourself to selling by the roadside?

You do have an alternative solution for nutrition label making.

I have over ten years of experience helping small businesses and budding entrepreneurs bring their product to market with  camera-ready, FDA-approved nutrition facts labels at a reasonable price.

OK – you may be asking, how is this done?  I am a licensed user of Nutritionist Pro by Axxya Systems, Inc.   This nutrition analysis software has over 14,000 items in its’ food database, including all USDA analyzed foods.  Licensed users receive updates several times throughout the year.  In addition, licensed users have full technical support for the software.  I have used Nutritionist Pro’s tech support and can vouch for their expertise.

How is a nutrition label made from the Nutritionist Pro software?  Your recipe or formula ingredients are entered into the software.  The program analyzes the total amount of ingredients per serving and generates a nutrition facts label in jpg format, which works very well for producing the actual food label.  However, other file formats are available such as pdf.

You can choose from 17 FDA-approved formats, including Spanish.

A detailed nutrition analysis list is included for each nutrition facts label ordered.

If you need help with the recipe, I can do that too.  I have over 25 years of quantity food production experience, which includes recipe testing and editing.

Concerned about keeping your recipe private?  Not to worrry.  I NEVER discuss or share recipe formulas with anyone.  I DO NOT sell your contact information to other businesses.  If you want me to sign a confidentiality agreement, just contact me.  I have done this for people wanting that service.  My goal is to make the label you need so you can be successful.

Other qualifications: Ph.D in foodservice management, DTR (Dietetic Technician, Registered), member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and ServSafe certified.

Do you need help with a recipe?  Is writing clear directions more bother than you have time for?  Or you may have a writing project for your product but hate to write.  I can assist you with all these issues and more. I’m a published author of articles and book chapters.

The mission of Gerald Consulting LLC is to help small food businesses become successful by providing information to market their products efficiently and effectively.
